Photo 24 was featured in the Belfast Telegraph but I cannot remember the exact date, but during the Ulster Workers strike. Mr Sands had a carpet shop on Dublin Road and it was set alight by protestant youths from Sandy Row, the flames caught a nearby car and police officers moved the car.

I was in town and bombs went off, smoke was drifting into the sky, I went up the Queens library tower to take these photos. It was 6th December 1971 when Marcus Wards printing works was bombed and burnt out (it was replaced by a cinema in 1992 which is now being demolished to make way for an office block).
